Thank you for choosing Paul Fredrick! We know you’re going to love your new purchase.

Always read the care and content label to determine how to care for your garment. This is especially important because your garment may have different care instructions than those detailed here.

In order to get the longest life from your Paul Fredrick garment, we recommend following these instructions, depending on the relevant material.

Laundering Your Pants

Wool/Wool-Blend: If your pants are made from wool or a wool-blend, they are dry clean only. Hang wool pants on a proper hanger in a well-ventilated closet.

Linen: If your pants are made from linen, they are dry clean only.

Microfiber: If your pants are made from microfiber, machine wash the pants warm with similar colors. Use only non-chlorine bleach when needed. Tumble dry the pants on a low setting and remove promptly. Use a warm iron when needed.

Cotton Denim: If your pants are made from cotton denim, machine wash them and tumble dry on a low setting. Remove promptly when finished to avoid wrinkles.

Cotton Moleskin: If your pants are made from cotton moleskin, machine wash them and tumble dry on a low setting. Remove promptly when finished to avoid wrinkles.

Cotton Corduroy: If your pants are made from cotton corduroy, machine wash the pants cold with similar colors. Use only non-chlorine bleach when needed. Lay the pants flat to dry, and use a warm iron when needed.

100% Cotton: If your pants are made from 100% cotton, machine wash the pants. Tumble dry them on a low setting, and remove promptly when finished to avoid wrinkles.

100% Non-Iron Cotton: If your pants are made from 100% non-iron cotton or 100% cotton, machine wash the pants. Tumble dry them on a low setting, and remove promptly when finished to avoid wrinkles. To remove wrinkles from hanging, place the pants in the dryer for 10 minutes, then remove promptly. The heat from the dryer releases the wrinkles in non-iron.

Laundering Your Shorts

Linen: If your shorts are made from linen, they are dry clean only.

Microfiber: If your shorts are made from microfiber, machine wash the shorts warm with similar colors. Use only non-chlorine bleach when needed. Tumble dry the shorts on a low setting and remove promptly. Use a warm iron when needed.

Cotton: If your shorts are made from cotton, machine wash the shorts. Tumble dry them on a low setting, and remove promptly when finished to avoid wrinkles.

Troubleshooting

The less frequently you dry clean your pants or shorts, the better. If you simply need to remove a wrinkle, ironing or steaming that section should be sufficient. If you do get a spot on your garment, take it to the dry cleaner immediately. Your dry cleaner should know which method to use to remove it, depending upon the cause of the stain. If you machine wash your pants, turn them inside out before washing to help deter lint and fading.

Storing Your Pants or Shorts

Always re-crease your pants before hanging them; the best method of hanging is full-length, upside-down so the pants’ weight prevents wrinkles from forming. If you choose to hang your pants in the middle of the leg, do not hang them right at the knees, which will cause more wear to an already worn spot. Also, make sure that both legs are hanging smoothly to avoid any unwanted creases.
