A great dress shirt doesn’t have to be complicated. It comes down to three things: fabric, fit, finish. Take it from us. We’ve been making great dress shirts for over 70 years.

Fabric

A man and a shirt have a close relationship. Literally. As the thing worn closest to your skin, the fabric better feel right. 100% cotton has been the go-to for decades (centuries if you look past the contemporary dress shirt), and it’s still a top choice for its crisp feel and easy breathability. But don’t sleep on modern stretch blends and performance fabrics. They have caught up, and, yes, in some cases exceeded cotton’s soft touch and natural benefits. All of our shirts get an industry-leading non-iron finish for wash and wear convenience. Into the dryer, out go the wrinkles. Who has time for an iron these days?

Fit

In a world of off-the-rack sizing, it seems many have lost focus on fit. But it can’t be stressed enough how big an impact a tailored shirt has both on the way you look and the way you feel. A bad shirt with a great fit is going to get you more compliments than a great shirt with a bad fit. That’s no endorsement of bad shirts, so don’t take it the wrong way. Great shirt. Great fit. The best dress shirt doesn’t compromise. We make ours in over 50 exact sizes and silhouettes to flatter every guy—bespoke style without the tailor.

Finish

Quality and style are all about attention to detail. It’s the way a button-down collar rolls at the neckline, a shirttail that stays tucked in, seams that don’t pucker—everything down to the stitching. It’s also about carefully chosen colors and patterns, timeless for any occasion but not boring. We take it a step further with contrast trim details that open up new ways to wear a dress shirt, even the classic white ones. Color at collar and cuff, dyed-to-match buttons. These become a statement of personality as much as a symbol of expert craftsmanship.
